There are loads arguments about which diet is best for you, and how much should you eat.. However, health and wellness communities around the world will agree that diets emphasising fresh, whole ingredients and minimising processed foods are superior for overall wellness.

So, if you are thinking about your health, maybe its weight related maybe it is to help reverse diabetes or even to prevent cancer, you have probably thought about your diet.

It can seem there is a new trend hitting the health food headlines almost every day. It can make it so difficult in knowing what to eat.

I have written other blogs on different diet for educational purposes as I do not endorse any diet.

There are so many different arguments about which diet is best for you.

Health and wellness communities will agree that diets emphasising fresh, whole ingredients and limiting processed foods where possible will be superior for overall wellness.

So, if you are thinking about your health, maybe its weight related maybe it is to help reverse diabetes or even to prevent cancer, you have probably thought about your diet.

Having new health trends almost daily can make it almost impossible to settle on what to eat and not eat. I have written other blogs on different diet for educational purposes as I do not endorse any diet.

I know that certain diets work for a number of people and not others. I also know that diets after six weeks are pointless. But for around six weeks certain diets can increase weight-loss yet they do not increase your nutritional knowledge.

Which is why I do not and will not promote anyone diets.

There is one diet that is consistently proven, over more than two decades, to reduce your risk for, illness, cancer, lower cholesterol, risk of diabetes and have many other health benefits and it is a plant-based diet.

Remember a diet is consider any item that passes your lips. However, who is a way of life. It is about eating more whole natural single used ingredients.

This does not mean you cannot eat meat.

It means you should just eat more plant-based foods such as vegetables, whole grains, and fruits. Beans, seeds, and nuts

Have two-thirds of your plate with plant-based foods. The remaining one-third of the plat

should be a lean protein like chicken or fish, or a plant protein like beans or tofu

Why would a person choose to eat a more plant-based diet!

Plants are packed full of essential nutrients that you simply cannot get from other foods.

Consuming Plant foods are extremely good for you as plant foods contain phytochemical and antioxidants which help keep your cells healthy and your body in balance so that your immune system can function at its peak.

Eating a plant-based diet will strengthens your immune system to protect you against microorganisms, germs, virus which can cause an ill effect.

A healthy immune system is essential for reducing your risk for cancer because it can recognise and attack mutations in cells before they can progress to disease.

Phytochemicals and antioxidants help to neutralise toxins which come from processed foods, viruses, our environment, and so many other resources which can harm our body.

These harmful toxins are known as free radicals, which the Antioxidants in plant foods, will disarm these free radicals that can throw your body off balance and help reduce inflammation.

A plant-based diet is more focused on limited to no processed foods

And focusses on wholefoods, plant-based single ingredients, and it is effective for weight management along with improving health

What Is a Whole-Foods, Plant-Based Diet?

First, it is not a diet this is a lifestyle,

The basic principles of a plant-based diet are as follows:

Emphasises whole, minimally processed foods. Limits or avoids animal products.

Focusses on plants, including vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds, which should make up the majority of what you eat.

Excludes refined foods, like added sugars, white flour, and processed oils.

You should always pay attention to food quality, with many proponents of this diet should be promoting locally sourced, organic food whenever possible.

For these reasons, a more plant-based way of living often confused with vegan or vegetarian diets. You can and many people do include a small number of eggs, seafood, dairy poultry, and meat.

Can you get enough protein solely on a plant-based diet?

So many of my relative, friends, and complete strangers are constantly asking me where vegetarians and vegans get their protein. The meat industry has spent countless amount of money and years trying to convince the public that the only way you can get protein is from animal products.

Fortunately, that is not the truth. Meat, eggs, and dairy are not only harmful to your health; they are leading contributors to climate change and cause inconceivable animal suffering.

Here is a list of some excellent sources of plant-based protein

  1. BeansBlack beans, Pinto beans kidney beans or tarbagan beans, beans are cheap, easy to cook, and packed with protein.
  2.  Lentils,These come in a few assorted colours I prefer the red lentils; however, a serving of these tiny powerhouses will give you twelve grams of protein!
  3. Plant-Based Meals, here are so many plant-based meats on the market and nearly all of them are loaded with protein,
  4.  TofuThe truth is tofu is an excellent source of protein. With ten grams of protein per half cup. Nuts
  5. From nut milks to peanut butter, nuts are a healthy and straightforward way to add protein to your diet. In fact, just one cup of mixed nuts has about twenty-seven grams of protein. Also, nuts are high in omega-3s, essential vitamins and nutrients, and antioxidations should go nuts for nuts!
  6.  Quinoa, Quinoa is packed with protein with eight grams of protein per cup.
  7. 7. Artichoke, These beautiful plants have four grams of protein in just a half cup.
  8. 8. Nutritional Yeas, Have not tried this cheesy-flavoured goodness? Containing four grams of protein per tablespoon,
  9. 9. Seed, Adding seeds to your diet is simple and taste add them to your smoothie, make a pudding, or topping off a salad, these “superfoods” are loaded with protein
